Installing Flash Player on Ubuntu 11.04 – 64 bits

Hello,

Just installed my Ubuntu 11.04 - 64 bits, and decided to install flash. I thought to install the Romeo-Adrian Cioaba script that I published as
Install Flash in Ubuntu 10.04 - 64 Bits.

I decided to update the script to install the last available flash version. The newer version that I found is Flash Player Square 10.2.p3.

Native Flash Player 10.2 Preview 3 installer
Native Flash Player 10.0.45.2 installer (Recommended, seems more stable)

Give it, execution permission:

$ chmod +x native-64bit-flash-installer.sh

Execute it.

$ ./native-64bit-flash-installer.sh

I commented the line that create a symbolic link to XUL-Runner, because I couldn't find it on my computer. If you have any problem, let me know.

Tested and working!

There is a Flash version on Ubuntu repository. (It is older and I can't guarantee anything about it. But it is there)

$ sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer

Uma dúvida: em sistemas 64 bits não se pode instalar aplicativos 32 bits? Por ex. instalar o flash normal no sistema 64 bits?

Porque se puder, aí no caso é só ir no site da adobe e baixar a versão normal (32 bits) e instalar, sem precisar de scripts e afins.

Percebi a necessidade de ter o firefox instalado no fim a criação de alguns arquivos pois os diretórios do firefox nao foram encontrados. Teria como instalar o plugin de flash no chromium?

OBS: Primeira vez que utilizo linux numa maquina. (estou gostando).

Não tenho certeza sobre a instalação do Flash 32 bits no Ubuntu. Acredito que deva ser possivel, porém não diretamente.

Não tenho certeza se entendi sua dúvida. Qual o sistema operacional que você está instalando? Se você estiver utilizando o Ubuntu 11.04, o firefox já vem instalado.

Quais diretorios não foram encontrados? Tem como utilizar o Flash no Chromium sim, eu possuo o mesmo aqui. Porém a unica coisa que fiz, foi instalar o Flash para o firefox. Não tenho muita certeza de como o Chromium funciona.

Estou como Ubuntu 11.04, creio que 64 por estar usando um core i3, desinstalei o firefox, pois achei ele um pouco lento. Por isso durante a instalação do plugin nao foram encontrados os diretorios do firefox, abaixo segue as mensagens:

cp: não foi possível criar arquivo comum "/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/": Arquivo ou diretório não encontrado
Linking the libraries so Firefox and apps depending on XULRunner (vuze, liferea, rsswol) can find it.
ln: o alvo "/usr/lib/firefox-addons/plugins/" não é um diretório: Arquivo ou diretório não encontrado
ln: o alvo "/usr/lib/xulrunner-addons/plugins/" não é um diretório: Arquivo ou diretório não encontrado

Quando tento visualizar videos no youtube pelo chromium, grande parte deles pede a instalação do flash player, o que nao consegui realizar ainda.

tente o seguinte, no terminal digite: "sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer"

Perceba que o nome do pacote é "flashplugin-installer" e você deve utilizar "sudo apt-get install PACOTE" onde PACOTE é substituido por "flashplugin-installer"

Nossa matheus sua ajuda foi excelente! Eu tentava pelo repositório oficial do ubuntu as o flash não abria no chrome nem a pau... e meu ubuntu é 11.10 de 64 bit... já tava pensando em voltar pra 32 bit, mas sua dica foi perfeita via terminal... valeu mesmo!!!
